I can’t remember which influencer introduced me to the horseshoe jean, but I was intrigued. I’ve always liked a wider shape, and these looked pretty cool. Ultimately, I didn’t feel like disappointing myself since I had a feeling they’d be overwhelming on me – so I didn’t try them out.
What I love about them is that they work for my 5’3 frame. While they’re definitely a wider leg, they have a tapered ankle. You get the curved “barrel” shape with the help of seams or darts — adding volume to the lower body, but also stays cinched at the waist. It’s all about balance.
With a Midi Dress
- Weekend coffee walks
- Errands
- In office days
- WFH days
- Dinner dates and/or events
There is truly nothing I cherish more than our weekends. I love waking up whenever we feel like it, get ready and go for a long walk to pick up coffee and then head to Central Park with Sal.
Wow I really am a sucker for anything denim. When I saw this denim barn jacket, I knew I needed it. I had such a specific look in mind — why not do a denim on denim look?! I decided to pair it with gold AND silver accessories and my go to bag.
In Office Days
These uniforms can be taken literally or just have fun picking bits and pieces from them based on what I’m feeling that particular day.
Patterned pants are also having a HUGE moment right now. So why not pair them together? When I think about how to style a barn jacket, I like that the silhouette is SO classic for such a trendy piece. I think it’s perfectly cool to mix in some more funky trends – like these patterned satin pants!
You could make it preppy with a button down tucked in. You could make it edgy with an oversized moto jacket. You could make it cool with a sweater. You could make it tonal and effortless with a white tank (option to throw denim jacket on too).
