New Yorkers are some of the most fashionable people and because of the walking lifestyle in the city, your shoes should be an integral part of your outfit each day. You want them to not only be comfortable but also look good!
Not sure where to start? Here are the best shoes to wear walking around NYC, straight from my closet!
Fisherman Sandals
The weather in New York can be really unpredictable, especially in the fall and winter seasons. To be prepared for any weather, I cannot recommend a good pair of waterproof boots enough!
I love a these sandals because it really does help transform your look. I can wear them with trousers and a button down, or I can wear them with a dress. It’s a sensibly, yet chic shoe. It’s a perfect balance between feminine and masculine. I’ve found that they flatter the foot quite nicely. It’s a shoe that can do it all!
Okay, I know I said a pretty pair of pumps isn’t a practical shoe in NYC, but here me out: the low heel. It’s on trend, it’s chic, and they are so much more comfortable to walk in. There are various different style shoes with a lot heel but my rule of thumb is to either go with a block heel or a secure shoe with a skinner heel.
Low Heels
- Goes with minimal style A big reason why I gravitated towards this bag was because I think it goes perfectly with my style. I was wearing it with sweater
- Perfect for travel Okay, I technically haven’t traveled with this bag, BUT I commuted with it for months. I’d absolutely bring it with me as my personal item on flights!
- Great for petite frames When it comes to handbags, I’m usually a “the bigger the better” kind of girl. Naturally, I had alerts for the 17 too, but when I received my bag, I’m SO happy I was only able to get The Row Margaux 15 vs. the 17. I’m 5’2 and it’s still an oversized bag on my frame
